Just-in: Fako SDO bans All Bimbia Conference scheduled for today

The Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) for Fako Division Viang Mekala has banned the maiden edition of The All Bimbia Conference, scheduled to take place today at Camp Saker in Bimbia, Limbe III Subdivision. 

According to a communique signed on April 25, 2025, the SDO cited the event's illegal convening and lack of declaration filed with the Limbe III Subdivisional Office. 

The communique stated that the association's promotion appears to contradict the country's policy of national integration and living together. 

The SDO has ordered the committee to cease all agitation and comply with the ban, warning that further action may be taken if necessary. 

Part of the communique reads; “I am just getting a copy of the program you have drawn up to organize a general meeting of your association on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Camp SAKER in Bimbia”,

“I would like to inform you that the said general meeting, which is similar to a public meeting, is prohibited because it was illegally convened.”

A committee member, who wished to remain anonymous, told KNews that they had been seeking authorization for over three months without success.
