The Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé erupted in cheers last night as Josiane Harangada Golonga, a 23-year-old from Yagoua in the Far North region, was crowned Miss Cameroon 2025. More than just a beauty queen, Josiane represents intellect, activism, and cultural pride.

A Scholar and a Leader

A graduate in Archival Science and Document Management from ESSTIC, Josiane has balanced academic excellence with social commitment. Her pageant journey—from Miss Youth Yagoua (2018) to Miss National Unity (2021) and finally Miss Cameroon—proves her resilience and charisma.

A champion for Women’s rights

Through her association "Woman, Become a Model" (FDUM), Josiane fights against child marriage, advocates for girls' education, and campaigns for birth registration in rural areas. Her work in Sodiko (Douala) and her hometown highlights her dedication.

A New Era for Miss Cameroon

Elegant, articulate, and driven, Josiane embodies the modern Miss Cameroon—a woman of beauty, brains, and purpose. Her victory symbolizes a Cameroon where women from all regions shine.
