Hundreds join CEO of King Black Welfare Association to bid farewell to his late dad

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, hundreds joined the CEO and founder of King Black Welfare Association Limbe, Nugang Clement Devalla to bid farewell to his late dad.
Speaking during the event, held at Limbe River Club Bota, Rev. Foumane Jean from Marvelous Light Ministries titled his message "Where are you and where are you going to?" drawing his inspiration from Ecclesiastes 3:1 and Ecclesiastes 7:1.
He told the mourners that God is close to the brokenhearted. He urged them not to wait for troubled days before they give their lives to Christ, which will be too late.
Rev. Foumane Jean told mourners to live their lives worthy of their calling as Christians and be ready to meet their Creator whenever He comes knocking.
The farewell event was characterised by cultural displays from various dance groups from Bali Nyonga residing in Limbe municipality.

Biography of Ba Devalla Denis Fokum
Ba Devalla Denis Fokum was born in August 1930 at Ntaiton Bali Nyonga. He was the only male amongst 4 children. From 1942 to 1950 he attended Ndop Government Primary School from standard 1 to 6.
Being too small he couldn't work in the North West so he decided to go to Douala. He lived with his uncle in Bonaberi Douala for 1 month and moved to the other side of Wouri to seek employment. Here he got employed by CFAO in the garage as an apprentice in 1951.
He was trained by whites working there at the time and later fully employed. Due to his quest for knowledge and personal development, he enrolled at the Douala Technical School from 1953 to 1967 where he graduated as a senior mechanic.
CFAO saw him as a great asset and sent him for a 3 months professional upskilling training at CAMI Toyota where he gained skills as senior technician of all Toyota Vehicles.
He left CFAO and went to settle in Victoria where he got employed by JOEALAIN Garage. This company sent him to Lagos for 6months upskilling.
Upon return he worked with JOEALAIN Garage for 1 year and left to work with RENAULT as Chief Mechanic where he was able to train many prominent mechanics who have served in various companies in Cameroon and abroad.
He worked with RENAULT until when the company wanted to wind up, Niba Automobile Company Limited (NACL) took over and appointed him as branch manager for Mutengene in June 1983 where he served in that capacity till 1987 when the company winded up.
From then, he ventured into transport business for some time. Ba Devalla got married to 3 wives, 2 of blessed memory.
He was a committed and devoted Presbyterian Christian (PCC Ntaiton) and member of Christian Men Fellowship ( CMF).
He had 23 children, 40 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and lots of friends to mourn him.
