HRM Kwami Beckley rallies groups to foster development in Monde village

In a bid to rejuvenate Monde village in the Muea court area, Buea Subdivision, HRM Kwami Beckley Nangoh, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, rallied MOLONGO, BAYA, WA-NDOLO, FAWONE, FAKO AMERICA, WANA WA WAPKWE UK, VIDA, and the Muslim Community in his palace at Monde village to brainstorm ways to rejuvenate the village.


Welcoming everyone to the event, the Chairman of the Traditional Council, David Nangoh Luma, appreciated everyone who, despite their busy schedules, was present for the meeting.


He urged everyone to always adhere to the Chief's call and equally to work in synergy to develop Monde village.


In his intervention, HRM Kwami Beckley told the various groups present and a cross-section of the Monde natives that the sole agenda was for those who have been allocated lands to start developing them.


He encouraged the various groups and Monde natives to feel free to access and develop their lands and build their houses.


During exchanges between the Chief and attendees, the representative of FAWONE, Dr. Salliane Liengu told the Chief that Dr. Hannah Etonde Mbua, their National President, is ready to work with the Monde community and will develop the land allocated to them.


The representative of the Muslim Community, Mallam Abduhali Admamu reassured the Chief of their willingness to transform their land and work closely with the chiefdom.


In her intervention, the Vice Chairlady of Monde traditional Council, Dr. Salliane Liengu Wolete emphasised the need for a clean-up campaign to keep Monde village clean as the festive period is fast approaching and equally building of houses and cultivation of the area.


On his part, Mola Simon Gobina highlighted some work he has been doing in line with the creation of a Common Initiative Group (CIG) in Monde village.


At the close of the meeting, BAYA and MOLONGO groups were handed their site plans and allocation letters for their pilots, and others were encouraged to contact the Chief through the traditional council and chief of cabinet.
