HRM Kwami Beckley Nangoh is poised to transform Monde Village in Muea court area, Buea Subdivision, Fako Division despite the ongoing crisis which has paralysed activities in the area.

Barely 5 years after his installation as Chief of Monde Village by Divisional Officer for Buea, Abba Abdouraman accompanied by Chiefs of the Buea Chiefs' Conference.

The village had been vacant without a Chief for over 45 years. HRM Chief Kwami Beckley was consulted in 2019 with the task to rejuvenate development in the Monde Chiefdom.

According to the Chief Kwami Beckley, together with the community he plans to make the village a great one in no distance time.

“We all should work hand in hand, as together we can make this community a better one. The community should know that I am out to protect them and protecting them will always be my top priority,”

“The way forward for the community is social amenities like water, good roads. We all are united because during the consultative talks the families brought me out as one. There is no family dispute so together we will make the community a better place,” HRM Kwami Beckley said.

The Chief is one of those persons that have the community at heart. It should be noted that the Chief and his people in the part have organising cultural festival aimed at bringing the people together to promote the culture and tradition of the area.

“We should come together to promote the culture and tradition of the Bakweri man and say yes to peace, and going back to develop our community is our top priority,” HRM said.

The community according to the traditional ruler is one of those communities that were almost getting to extinction. He added that it is a community that needs development, and this exercise of developing the village can only be done by everyone.

Monde Chiefdom shares boundary with Ekona Mbenge, Wonya-Mocuba, Elimbi village which Monde is parent community, Muyuka Subdivision and Tiko Subdivision.
