Former Cameroonian international referee, Alioum Sidi has been appointed President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Refereeing Committee. He was appointed on Monday, August 25, 2025 by the President of CAF, Dr. Patrice Motsepe

About Alioum Sidi's Career
Sidi represented Cameroon in FIFA referee since 2008 and Africa with authority and integrity, officiating in major tournaments, including: Nine Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, featuring the 2019 AFCON Final and opening match, 6 FIFA World Cups across various categories.
He is ranked 17th Best Referee in the world by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) in 2019, President of the Cameroonian Football Referees' Association (ACAF): Sidi has been advocating for better working conditions and protection for referees in Cameroon.
