FENASSCO B Games finals brought forward to April 17 for Easter celebrations

The 18th edition of the FENASSCO B Games, scheduled from April 13-19, 2025, in Limbe, will now hold its closing ceremony today, Thursday, April 17, 2025, instead of Saturday, April 19.
According to sources within the Ministry of Basic Education, who preferred not to be named said the Minister, Prof. Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa, made this decision to allow participating students to spend quality time with their families during Easter Sunday.
The closing ceremony will take place at the Limbe Centenary Stadium, starting at 12 noon prompt. Top dignitaries, including Regional Delegates, Divisional Delegates, Sub-delegates, Chiefs, and clergy members, are expected to attend.
About the FENASSCO B Games
The games, themed "Primary school sports; abiding factor for living together in peace and unity for an emerging Cameroon," kicked off on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Minister Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa emphasised the importance of fair play and professionalism during the games, highlighting the need for national unity amidst growing hate speech and identity-based isolationism.
Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale, assured the athletes and organizers of a smooth experience, leveraging Limbe's reputation for hosting successful large-scale sports events.
This year's FENASSCO B Games feature various activities, including: Handball, Basketball, Volleyball among others.
The event aims to promote unity, peace, and sportsmanship among primary school students across Cameroon.
