The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, headed by Samuel Eto’o Fils and the Director General of Customs, Fongod Edwin on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 entered into a partnership agreement to eradicate counterfeit jersey in the market and secure the distribution of official Indomitable Lions merchandise.

This agreement follows a partnership signed on February 5, 2025, between FECAFOOT and Fourteen, the Indomitable Lions' new kit supplier, which initiated a push to combat counterfeit products.

Under the agreement, FECAFOOT will collaborate with the Director General of Customs, DGD, to combat counterfeiting, declare all imports, pay applicable customs duties and taxes, and gather intelligence on counterfeit networks both domestically and internationally.

A joint operations will be conducted to seize counterfeit products, and FECAFOOT will provide necessary certificates for product traceability.

The DGD will strengthen its surveillance at maritime, air, and land borders to detect fraudulent imports, monitor the distribution of FECAFOOT exclusive gear and merchandise, and provide detailed information on irregular imports, enabling stock tracing to final destinations.

A joint FECAFOOT/DGD committee has been established to monitor the protocol’s implementation. This committee will evaluate the material, technical, and financial aspects of the agreement among others.
