Falling in Love on Valentine’s Day

Writer's picture: Simon KallaSimon Kalla

Falling in love is like finding a home In the heart of someone you have never known before-yet somehow, it feels like you’ve lived there forever.

There’s a rhythm in your pocket, your phone rings, and even before you see the name, your heart already knows who it is you have to pick, You have to answer.

Falling in love is the chemistry of honesty and modesty, A magnetic pull that makes you crave The warmth of their embrace, Like a blanket on a cold morning.

It is laughing at their terrible jokes. Because their joy matters more than the punchline. It is saving the last bite of your favorite meal just so they can taste what you love It is hearing their name in the lyrics of every song, smiling at texts that don’t even say much And suddenly, every sunset feels like it was painted just for you two.

Falling in love is tripping over your own words, Blushing at compliments That make you feel seen in a way no mirror ever could It is the late-night talks that make 2 am feel like noon, The silence that speaks louder than any words.

Falling in love is like a deep sleep. A free fall into the unknown. Yet somehow, you land softly, held by something you can’t explain love is a ladder on life’s journey, each step a new discovery. A lesson, a laugh, a promise and as you climb, you realize. The view is more beautiful when you’re not
