In a move to secure voters' votes, the representative of the CPDM Permanent Divisional Delegation (PDD) for Fako, Franklin Ngoni Njie, on Sunday, October 11, 2026, commissioned the Fako 2027 Twin Elections Divisional Communication Ad Hoc Committee and Sub-Divisional Sub-Committees into their functions.

The ceremony took place at the City Council Hall, Down Beach, Limbe. The committees are expected to lay the groundwork for the party's victory in the upcoming elections, especially through the mobilisation of youths and women.

The installation marks a significant step in preparations towards the highly contested local and parliamentary elections expected to take place early next year.

In his remarks, Franklin Ngoni Njie said what is happening in and around the party is in connection with the upcoming elections. He emphasized that the CPDM is a well-structured party that places emphasis on discipline.

“How we communicate should bear testimony to these fundamental principles,” Franklin Njie said.

For his part, Fako PDD Representative No. 1, Dr. George Mafany Teke, said the primary motive is for the committees to design, coordinate and execute persuasive communication that will secure a landslide victory for the party's candidates across all municipalities of Fako Division.

He explained that the committee’s objective is to canvas for votes through effective communication strategies.

He outlined the duties of the committees as follows: Produce multi-format messages in English, French, Mokpwe and Isubu.

- Actively manage and update Facebook, WhatsApp and community networks.

- Run campaigns on radio, TV, newspapers and through press releases, among others.

Despite speculations that the twin elections slated for February 2027 will be postponed again, the commissioning is seen as a strategic move by the Fako CPDM leadership to strengthen its communication apparatus ahead of the polls.
