Three schools in Missellele in Tiko Subdivision on Friday, October 28, 2022 received benches and didactic materials from their Chief HRH Chief Mbollo Yves Patrice.
The gifts comprised of 30 benches, books, pencils, pens, rulers, erasers among others. The three schools include Catholic School, Government School and Presbyterian School.
Addressing the beneficiary schools, HRH Chief Mbollo Yves said he is a servant of the villagers and not the other way round. “I am here because my people are here, I am here for human beings,” he added.
He expressed joy for the huge turnout of the villagers who abandoned their busy schedule to witness the gesture that comes from the palace.
“Today is the day for action not for speech making. Youths are the future leaders of tomorrow, that’s why I thought it wise that development can’t only come from infrastructure, that’s hospitals, building of town hall, water project but to impact the life of the young ones to give them the best of education they can have.” HRH Chief Mbollo Yves explained.
Education being the fundamental right of every child, Chief Mbollo Yves questioned why a child cannot go to school when the parents are dead. He added that the main objective of the donation is to build a better Missellele, Tiko Subdivision, Fako Division, South West Region and Cameroon in general.
He emphasised that the donation was initiated by his wife, while urging the villagers to keep on supporting the traditional council, policy that governed the village and especially the Missellele Development Association which he stressed is a compulsory association.
HRH Chief Mbollo Yves congratulated the sponsors of the water project. He equally thanked the population for holding up with activities of the villag in his absence when he travelled out of the country.
“I have not come to show how rich the Missellele palace is, but to set the path that will not
stop” HRH Chief Mbollo Yves said.
On her part, one of the beneficiary schools, Madam Arrey Kamela thanked the Chief and pleaded for more.

The Chairman of Missellele Development Association, MEDA, Nyam Calvin expressed his joy for the largesse from the Chief. He added that Chief has taken one aspect of development and the most important one. Nyam opined that educating a child makes him or her reason differently and positively.
