A couple whose name KNews could not get tragically drowned in a well during a heated altercation in Mbangassina, Mbam-et-Kim Division
of the Centre Region of Cameroon.
According to multiple reports, the husband, exhausted by his wife's consistent late-night returns, finally mustered the courage to confront her about her actions.
The situation quickly escalated into a verbal exchange, prompting the husband to flee the house as his wife chased him with a machete.
KNews further gathered that in an attempt to avoid physical confrontation, the husband continued to run as his wife pursued him.
Neighbors attest that the chase eventually led to a physical altercation near a well, resulting in both individuals falling inside.
The exact circumstances surrounding their fall remain unclear, but some sources suggest that the husband grabbed his wife's hand after she allegedly pushed him into the deep well.
The bodies of the couple were retrieved from the well and taken to the morgue. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
