The Center for the Promotion of Clean Sports has requested the President of Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o and Football stakeholders to investigate the alleged match fixing between FC Yaounde II and Union Sportive de Douala match.
In a communiqué dated Sunday, June 22, 2026, the Center’s President, Barrister Samuel Tambe Ashuntantang, said the organization received “amateur video footage circulating on various social media platforms” showing partial coverage of the match.
“Having reviewed the videos obtained from these sources, we have reasonable grounds to suspect potential irregularities that may indicate a compromise of the match’s integrity through manipulation,” he stated.
Barrister Tambe said a prompt and transparent inquiry would help uphold public confidence in Cameroonian football and reinforce FECAFOOT’s zero-tolerance policy on match manipulation.
“While thanking you in anticipation of a quick and wise response, please be assured that we remain available to provide the video materials in our possession and to cooperate or advise in any investigation,” he added.
