The Cameroon Association of Media Professionals (CAMP) has started the new year on a high note, with National President Solomon Agborem outlining a slew of exciting plans and initiatives for the Association.

In a heartfelt address, Agborem highlighted CAMP's achievements in 2025, including the successful 20th anniversary celebrations and the 8th edition of the prestigious Victoria International Media Merits Awards (VIIMMA).

Looking ahead to 2026, CAMP is gearing up to host a groundbreaking seminar on "The Mind and Mindsets" in February, in partnership with the Regional Delegation of Youth Affairs and Civic Education Southwest and the Cameroon National Youth Council.

The two-day event is expected to bring together media professionals, youth leaders, and stakeholders to discuss key issues affecting the industry and the country.

Other key events on CAMP's agenda include; "Prison for Peace Project". The project, scheduled to take place in September, aims to promote peace and reconciliation among inmates and prison staff.

CAMP is also partnering with CAMASEJ Limbe Chapter to organize a joint sporting event, featuring swimming and football matches, in April.

In his address, Agborem urged members to abide by the modified constitution, which was adopted during the last Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 13, 2025. He also called on members to fulfill their financial obligations by the end of March 2026.

CAMP is committed to promoting social cohesion, peace, and professionalism in the media industry. The organization plans to hold an Elective General Assembly later this year, with the date to be communicated soon.

As CAMP embarks on this new chapter, Agborem expressed his gratitude to members, regional coordinators, and partners for their continued support.
