Cameroonian makossa artist, Emmanuel Penda Wokonyi, popularly known as ‘Mota Penda Legrand’ on Friday, February 14, 2025 released his fifth track titled, Recettes D'amour.
It has been distributed on all social media platforms such as TV stations, radio's, sportify, Apple music, amazon, boom play etc After his forth thrilling albums presently in the musical market, La force gentile released in 1996, Clé 14 in 2009 Bataille D’amour in 2017, Coup de Maitre 2022, here comes another album, titled Recettes D'amour.
Due to his proficiency in singing and promoting makossa music, Mota Penda Legrand was crowned the best makossa artist of the year 2023 in Cameroon.
Quizzed on the meaning behind the album, he explained Recettes D'amour means the gain of love. “You know as written in the Bible, let love lead so, I am preaching about love.” “Love one another. Anything without love can’t go.
I am preaching about love, that is the message of this album.” Mota Penda added. He emphasized for us to love one another.
“If you see somebody on the way you don't have to treat the person badly because you don't know what tomorrow holds.
All the six tracks is talking about love.” “You know very well what February 14, signifies. It is Lover’s Day and as my music is talking about peace and love, I intend to bring it out on that particular day of Lover’s. So, the message go across the borders.
Mota Penda Legrand added.
He revealed that he is using his music to preach peace and love into the world. Especially to inhabitants in the North West and South West Regions who have been into the arm conflict for eight years now.
It should be noted that mota Penda Legrand started singing at the age of 5years old fabricating local musical instruments from tin cans and umbrella covers in form of orchestra (Band), trap wires and carved wood for guitar n the cane bamboo for drumming sticks among others.
On the side line of his challenges faced in the course of the production of the music, Mota Penda Legrand cited lack of producers in Cameroon, weak musical industry, lack of investors to assist him among others.

Mota penda Legrand is a superskale n well blended musician with over 30years experience in the musical domain.
