CONAC says Cameroon lost more than FCFA 4 billion in 2024 for corruption, as compared to 114 billion in 2023. This decline was revealed by the president of the National Anti-Corruption Rev. Dr. Dieudonne Massi Gams, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 during the official presentation of the annual report on the state to fight against corruption in Yaounde.

This performance was praised by the participants, who included government officials, diplomats, representatives of Transparency International, lawyers, civil society leaders, as well as representatives of the Special Criminal Court and the National Debt Recovery Corporation. These two institutions were particularly highlighted for their active role in tracking down and recovering embezzled public funds.

The report also includes projections for the coming years, as well as the State's commitments to strengthen the prevention and punishment system. It highlights a growing political will to break with impunity, thanks to better coordination between judicial, administrative, and financial bodies.
