The prestigious Cameroonian Ballon d'Or of the Year 2024 award goes to John Bosco Nchindo and Ndjoah Eto for both male and female categories respectively.
The trophy was awarded to them on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Palais des Congress Yaounde during the awards ceremony organized by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is playing this season for Coton Sports in Garoua. Last season he was under the colours of Young Sports Academy of Bamenda.
He succeeds Emmanuel Mahop winner of the previous edition. John Bosco Nchindo is the Cameroonian Golden Ball of the 2023-2024 season.
Meanwhile, Ndjoah Eto, the 20-year-old star, who has been playing for the En Avant Guingamp women's team since this year, was crowned winner of female category of Cameroon’s Ballon d'Or.
The former midfielder played last season and the start of this one for the Amazones FAP of Yaoundé, in her native country of Cameroon. Ndjoah Eto is also a Cameroonian U20 international with the young Indomitable Lionesses.
It is worth noting this year’s jury was chaired by Rigobert Song, former Indomitable Lions coach, ensuring a meticulous selection process for the winners.
“John Bosco, had more impact in the game of his team even though he did not win the championship. I think he is the best player of last season”,
“He made an impression with his direct play and his altruism on the field. He is a complete player who still has to improve”,
“It is not insignificant that Coton Sport has secured his services," comments a sports analyst who spoke on anonymous.
