Cameroon-born Abongdoh Maluyane crowned Commonwealth Youth awardee for 2025

Cameroon-born Abongdoh Maluyane Titus, who hails from North West Region of Cameroon an entrepreneur, by profession has been crowned one of the Commonwealth Youth Awardees for 2025. In Peace Award category specifically for Peace-building, Education, and Community Engagement.
The awards ceremony was held recently in London and was hosted by the Commonwealth Secretary-General, The Rt Hon. Patricia Scotland KC.
This prestigious award recognizes exceptional young individuals who have made significant contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and enhancing development in their communities.
Abongdoh Maluyane was among 20 finalists selected from over 800 applicants across the Commonwealth.
He was awarded the Commonwealth Innovations SDG Award, which acknowledges his innovative work in promoting peace and development.
The Commonwealth Youth Awards are an initiative of the Commonwealth Youth Programme, which has supported youth development work in member countries for over 50 years.
The recognition was awarded to Abongdoh Maluyane during a prestigious ceremony held in London.
In an emailed addressed to KNews’s publisher, Simon Ndive Kalla, Abongdoh Maluyane Titus said; I’m incredibly humbled and excited to share that I have been selected as one of the Commonwealth Youth Awardeesto empower learners affected by conflict.”
He added that the recognition was awarded to me, but also for everyone who has supported e-Mentor with a mission to empower displaced students and youth in Cameroon and across Africa.

The PEACE Award celebrates the work of individuals who are committed to fostering peace, enhancing education, and engaging communities in ways that promote positive social change.
“This award is a testament to the impact we’ve been making at e-Mentor, where we leverage immersive VR technology to provide access to quality education for displaced students, especially in conflict zones like the Anglophone regions of Cameroon.”
“As we continue to grow e-Mentor and expand its reach, I remain committed to ensuring that we reach our goal of empowering one million learners by 2035.” Abongdoh Maluyane said.
While calling on support from the general public help him bring immersive educational tools to more students, more communities, and more regions in need.
