At least six people have died following a tragic accident that occurred on Sunday in Mutengene, Fako Division of the South-West Region, specifically at the Police College Hill.

According to eyewitnesses, a Clando vehicle carrying passengers experienced a tire puncture, lost control, and collided head-on with a truck, resulting in the tragic death of the Clando vehicle's driver and five other passengers, including three children.

Sunday's accident comes just days after two people reportedly died on the same stretch of road while scrambling for liquor after a truck transporting brewery products overturned.

In another incident in the South-West Region, a fire broke out on Sunday at Mini Coquette in Bonduma, Buea, destroying business establishments. Reports suggest that the blaze may have been caused by the presence of illegal fuel.
