Following the SDO’s instruction, the Chief of Botaland, Mbella Molinge issued a communique dated November 12, 2021 informing the general public that there are a group of individuals going around selling properties of the village without the knowledge of the chief or the traditional council.

“The traditional council is bringing to the attention of the buyers that the illegal transaction is not recognised by the council and the council is calling on all parties concerned to stop such transaction as any further transaction will lead to legal action”,

“The traditional council insists all land in the Bota Land village belongs to the Chief and as the custodian of the land, he is the one only to give an ok for land to be transacted or not”,

“The Traditional council therefore warned Mr Peter Mbongo Motoma, Mr. Albert Mbende and Mr. Mbaka Paul to stop the issuing of fake land allocation and sitc plan as the Chief remains the only one with the right to sign a legal land document from the Bota Village”,

“The traditional Council also brings to the notice of the public that the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, of Fako had earlier wrote a communiqué date 21 September 2021 to the DO of Limbe II informing him to order the above persons to remove their stamps off the document that concerns Bota Land Village”,

“The Traditional Council reiterates that any person transacting with the said persons mentioned above is doing so at his or her own risk.” The statement stated.
