The Chief of Bokwaongo village, HRM Njie Mbonde Albert has extended his condolences to
His Majesty, Azehfor III, FON of Nkwen following the collapse of a makeshift bridge in his Fondom which led to the loss of lives.
He made this condolence message through a communique dated Saturday March 28, 2026. The communique reads; “My dear brother and friend, it is with immense shock that we learned of the collapse of a makeshift bridge in your Fondom, which led to the loss of lives.”
“On behalf of the Membea Bokwaongo people, I express to you our heartfelt condolences. We are deeply saddened and share in your grief. Grief is the price we pay for the love for our people”,
“We join you and your people in prayer that Jehovah and our ancestors may grant us the strength and comfort in these trying times”
It should be noted that the bridg collapse with 10 people and 4 people were recused and 6 persons are still missing.
