Bimbia: Prep intensify ahead of Bonabile’s Chief's coronation

Preparations are intensifying in Bonabile, Bimbia, Limbe III Subdivision, ahead of the coronation of its new traditional ruler, billed for November 28-29, 2025.

In a communique issued on Monday, November 17, 2025, by the Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Bonabile Chief's Coronation, Notable Dr. Joki Manga, the coronation of His Royal Majesty Manga Kalla Quan Albert will take place from Friday, November 28, to Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Bonabile village, Limbe III Subdivision. 

According to the programme, activities will kickoff on Friday at 8 a.m. with a series of cultural activities showcasing the heritage of the Bimbia people.

The main coronation ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 29, also beginning at 8 a.m., when HRM Manga Kalla Quan Albert will be formally crowned. 

The new chief is the son of the late Chief Theodore Kalla Quan and younger brother of the recently deceased Chief Priso Kalla Quan. 

At 64, HRM Albert Manga Kalla Quan is a retired senior youth and sports instructor who concluded his career in France in February 2025 before returning home to assume his traditional responsibilities. 

The two-day event is expected to attract elites, cultural custodians, and visitors to Bonabile as the village prepares to usher in a new era under HRM Manga Kalla Quan Albert.
