Batouri: Student collapses, dies during sports test

The population and educational community of Batouri in the East region are still in mourning following the tragic and sudden death of Prisca Miaboken, a student in the Premiere A4 Allemande class at College Bary.

According to classmates of the late Miaboken, she collapsed during the probatoire sports exercise, which took place on Monday, May 12, 2025 at the Government Bilingual High School Batouri's field.

It is reported that after exiting her lane and saluting the jury, she fell and collapsed, swallowing her tongue.

Although immediate care was administered and revived her momentarily, she was taken to the Batouri District Hospital, where she was declared dead by medical professionals.

The cause of her tragic demise remains unknown, and an investigation has been launched to determine what happened.
