Bar Council appointments: Barr. Serges Zangue Martin is new Bar Secretary

The long-awaited appointments of those to man the affairs of the Cameroon Bar Council have been made public.
The appointments follow the election of the 15 Bar council members and re-election of Batonnier Mbah Eric Mbah as President of the Cameroon Bar Association, CBA, at the Elective General Assembly of the CBA of last July 14 to 15, 2025, that took place Yaounde.
Bationner Mbah Eric Mbah broke the silence through Decision No.001/BOA/008/25 of August 4, 2025 bearing on the appointment of officials at the Bar, a copy which KNews procured.
The breaking news as per the appointment decision endorsed by the Batonnier is that, Barrister Serges Martin Zangue is the new Secretary General of the Cameroon Bar Association.
He replaces Barr. Ngo Minyogog Anne Yolande who has been appointed Special Adviser to the Bar Secretary with particular Orientation on Transformation and digitalisation.
The new scribe of the CBA, (a position considered as the locomotive of the CBA), Barrister Serges Martin Zangue, for the next two years will, ensure the prepa- ration and the service of documents of General Assembly sessions and of the Bar Council.
He shall equally keep the various relevant registers and other attributes and duties that shall be precisely spelt out by the Bar President.
He shall assist the Bar President in the general supervision of training of advocates, carry out the update of the Bar website, prepare the agenda and documentation for Council meetings as shall be directed, ensure adequate communication to colleagues on Bar activities, ensure the ongoing transformation towards a more digital reality, draft or cause to be drafted for execution by the President, all such communiques for correspondences as shall be necessary or directed and above all, coordinate the elaboration of training programmes.
Shortly after his appointment, he told KNews that he is grateful and appreciative to the Batonnier for the confidence bestowed on him to carry out the herculean task. He disclosed that in the spirit of confratenity and the general interest of the CBA, he shall work within the legal framework of his duties.
Other appointments include; Barristers Epey Ebi Asoh and Moussa Ganava as first and second deputy scribes of the CBA respectively.
Barrister Fouegoum Yonta Adeline Champauberte is henceforth the Bar Treasurer, Barrister Memong Philippe Oliver is now the representative and Special Delegate of the Bar President for the Centre, South and East Regions. Barrister Moussa Ganava is the representative of the Bar President for the North Region.
Barrister Kontchou Gabriel according to the appointment decision, maintains his position as representative of the Bar President in the Littoral Region and assisted by Barristers Teppi Kolloko Fidele and Agbor Nkongho Ayuk respectively.
Barrister Tamo David maintained his position as representative of the Bar President incharge of External Relations, assisted by Barr. Muluh Stanly, while Barr. Nkea Aleambong Emmanuel is now the representative of the Bar President in Fako.
For Special Delegates of the Bar President, Barristers Deugoue Raphael, Bayi Noutossi Aicfadip, Nzoh Divine Mbokeh, Agbor Mbeng Emmanuel, Njie Jude Mokom, Kamga Noutchougouin and Alikakang are incharge of Adamawa, Kribi, Meme, Manyu, North West Region, West Region and Far North Regions respectively.
The decision bearing on the appointment of officials of the Bar equally appointed Barrister Ngoulla Fotso Arlette as Special Adviser to the Bar President in charge of Restitution of the History of the Bar Archives and Documentation.
Barristers Agbor Nkongho Ayuk and Muluh Stanly respectively as Special Advisers to the Bar President on Youth Development. Barristers Jing Paul and Luh Kamga Ngatchou Jean Jacques henceforth occupy the position of Special Adviser to the Bar President in charge of Real Estate Development and Investment, while Barristers Eteme Eteme Simon, Pierre Tapchem Patris, and Bakoa Tonye Serge Hugues respectively are henceforth the Special Advisers to the Bar President on Project Development and Project Financing.
For National Coordinators in Charge of Training and Continuous legal Education, the Batonnier bestowed his confidence and trust to Barristers, Ndoky Dikoume, Balemaken Eugene Louis, Patouki Mana, Nso Robert, Enow Agbor Benjamin, Ngo Bihegue Sarah, Tapchem Patris and Ngassa De Happi Vanessa respectively.
For Regional and Divisional Coordinators in charge of Training, Barristers Fouegoum Adeline, Fojou Pierre Robert, Ndzana Simon Pierre respectively are in charge of the Centre, South and East Regions.
Barristers Tankeu Jean, Bongam Gilbert and Mvennieu Marie Gisele respectively are in charge of the Littoral Region. Barristers Njissic Stephen Njilla, Alice Efeti Lyonga, Ebolloh Emmanuel, Akum Michael Nche, Nji Gideon, Tchagyou Paho Anthony, Tsomevou Rostand Gervais, Tenzong Louis and Briand Thierry Din Ekollo shall henceforth be in charge of Littoral, Fako, Meme, North West, West and East Regions.
It should be recalled that during the CBA elective general assembly, the following members were voted.
