In a bid to promote education and combat illiteracy in Cameroon, the Missellele Chiefdom, led by HRM Yves Patrice Mbollo Ndedi, on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Missellele Chiefdom in Tiko Subdivision, Fako Division donated didactic materials to over 200 schoolchildren.

The materials included books, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, chalk, and boards, among others. The event, held at the Missellele Chiefdom, saw a massive turnout of schoolchildren from Miselelele, Camp, Keme Camps, and other areas.

HRM Yves Patrice expressed joy at the turnout and emphasised the importance of education, "We consider education as a fundamental right of every child." He added. While explaining that the gesture was a continuation of his forefathers' legacy and a way to support the children despite the challenging times.

The Chief acknowledged the sociopolitical crisis in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon but expressed hope that the donation would help the children access education.

He prayed for a successful school year 2025/2026 and urged the children to be responsible, obedient to their parents and teachers, and serious about their studies.

HRM Yves Patrice also thanked the elites of Miselelele, particularly the Jardin L'espoir and Teenlive Association, for their support in promoting education and other societal activities.

The event was attended by members of the Missellele traditional council, elites, and parents of the pupils and students.

The parents of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to HRM Mbollo Ndedi Yves Patrice for his kindness and timely support, especially during this hardship period.
