Buea- Based Humanitarian Foundation Let’s All Hope for the future, LAHF, has extended its hand of largesse to over 200 needy persons in Buea. South West Region Cameroon on Wednesday September 1, 2021.
According to the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of LAHF cum Journalist Ines Danielle Sob Epse Ondoa Balla, said the goal is to reach out to vulnerable groups who are in huge financial burden, coupled with the Covid-19 and security challenges.
Prelude to the donation exercise, the foundation started with one week back-to-school campaign on social media on Tuesday August 31, 2021. Tagged ‘School is a good thing, let children be part.”
The marathon donation exercise took place in Buea Town, Ndongo and other periphery.
"It's back to school and parents are in a huge financial burden to send their kids to school. The situation is even worsening for IDPs and needy parents who have to undergo a whole lot of ordeal to have their kids receive education. So, we brought with us, some financial assistance, school didactic materials, and some food items”
"We meet with the old and the needy, as well as victims of war," Ines Danielle said.
LAHF with goal to actively protecting the vulnerable groups in a manner that prompt sustainable development equity and social justice. The mission was defined to empower and support vulnerable in the attainment of a better standard of living and the provision of sustainable livelihoods.
With objective to ensure access to education on healthcare and basic human rights to vulnerable groups, Develop food security and implement modern agricultural methods among. Among others.
"We programmed only for four families but ended distributing the little resources allocated to over 12 households. We saw a cream of severely needy persons as we moved along; unfortunately, our little resources couldn't contain everyone. So, we took down the names and needs of those we couldn't reach out to on this first outing. We plan to make another trip, so we get to satisfy most, if not, all," Ines intimated.
it should be noted that, LAHF was recently created and has reached out to different vulnerable groups in different part of North West and South West Regions.
“We intend to empower youths, children and improve on the health condition of the elderly persons, we are calling on people of goodwill to join and assist us.” Ines Danielle said.
She added that, she singlehandedly carried out the donation without sponsors.
