Musuka villagers in the Muea court area, Buea Subdivision, in a solemn appeal, have beckoned on the Regional Assembly to seek a solution to their electricity and road network issues.

The head of the traditional council of Musuka village, Nanja Roland Maija Ma Songe, made this appeal on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Musuka village during New Year wishes accorded to HRM Kombe Paul Njea.

“Your Highness, we pray you continue to lobby the services of the Regional Assembly for the prompt execution of our pending electricity project and the rehabilitation of the 4km earth-road Muea-Musuka to ease the movement of people and agricultural products,"Maija Ma Songe said.

He urged villagers who have been allocated lands to construct their houses to speed up with the work or else it might be given to interested individuals.

“In 2025, we recorded 10 cases and defaulters were penalized. Equally, last year, we noticed that the villagers responded to clean-up campaigns in the village," Maija Ma Songe said.

He appreciated the Chief for the confidence he bestowed on him and his executive members to pilot activities in the village as councillors.

Maija Ma Songe revealed that in the days ahead, he and his executive will be embarking on a tree-planting exercise in the village.

On his part, the Chief of Musuka village, HRM Kombe Paul Njea, said, "It's not easy to start the year and end it in December. That's why the village traditional council thought it wise to share a common meal together."

He thanked villagers and good friends for their support in developing the village and equally called on everyone to put hands on deck to foster the development of the village.

HRM Kombe Paul expressed joy in sharing a common meal with his subjects. He revealed that in the days ahead, they will embark on a series of projects in the village.
