At new year wishes: Limbe Paramount Chief communes with traditional members, others

The Paramount Chief of Limbe, Elufa John Manga Williams has kickoff 2026 with a strong call for unity, discipline, and collective efforts to make 2026 memorable.
He made this call during New Year wishes ceremony at his palace on Monday February 2, 2026, at his palace in Mbonjo Down Beach, Limbe III Subdivision. His Royal Highness Chief Elufa Manga Williams expressed gratitude to God for another year of life and the opportunity to advance the Chiefdom’s plans.
He highlighted resolutions from a recent meeting, emphasising that the Chiefdom would be more proactive, responsible, and action-oriented in all quarters.
The Paramount Chief reminded attendees that the Chiefdom belongs to everyone and called on all stakeholders from the Traditional Council to quarter and heads of block to fully embrace their roles. He urged leaders to embody their titles both during official gatherings and in daily work.
On his part, Limbe III Divisional Officer Dr. Ndofi Ngangeh Isidore, affirmed the government’s support for traditional authorities and encouraged elites, notables, and quarter heads to back the Paramount Chief in executing developmental projects.
He stressed that unity remains essential to overcoming challenges and achieving progress.
In his intervention, Alex Hadyson, Chairman of the Quarter Heads Council, reinforced the need for discipline, regular meeting attendance, and uniformity as symbols of solidarity.
He reminded Quarter Heads that their effectiveness depends on cohesion and respect for traditional authority, echoing the Chief’s warning that the year would present significant challenges.
The event also featured gifts to the Paramount Chief, including a goat and cultural artifacts, symbolising respect and goodwill.
Traditional Council members and others left the gathering reaffirmed their commitment to a united, disciplined, and forward-looking Limbe Paramount Chiefdom.
