At 2025 New Year Wishes: Morocco Ambassador congratulates Biya For CAF Excellence Award

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and and new dean of the diplomatic corps accredited to Cameroon, Mostafa Bouh has congratulated President Paul Biya on his recent CAF Excellence Award recognition for his outstanding contribution to the growth of football on the African continent.


He made this remarks on Friday January 10, 2025 at the Unity Palace during New Year wishes from members of the Diplomatic Corps and national dignitaries in a solemn ceremony organised at Unity Palace.


Ambassador Mostafa Bouh, acknowledged Cameroon’s hospitality and efforts to strengthen multilateralism. He also lauded the recent inscription of the Ngondo festival of the Sawa people on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list on 4 December 2024.


The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps appreciated Cameroon’s active presence on the international stage in 2024, especially President Paul BIYA’s brilliant participation at the second Russia-Africa Summit in Saint Petersburg. 


High Commissioner, Paul Patrick Biffot renewed the commitment of the international community to continue its collaboration with Cameroon. In an address in response to the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the Head of State thanked bilateral and multilateral partners for their constant cooperation and extended wishes of prosperity to their respective leaders. 


President Paul Biya made a panoramic view of current world affairs and reiterated his position and that of his country for people all over the globe to privilege dialogue and conciliation over conflicts that often have a devastating effect on development projects. 


He said Cameroon continues to trust the core values of the United Nations and suggested that these tools can be used to facilitate the restoration of peace. 


BIYA responded with gratitude and recalled his message for more solidarity and constructive dialogue in the resolution of conflicts around the world. He reiterated Cameroon’s position for a peaceful, just, prosperous and inclusive international community.


He also expressed his profound gratitude to the Diplomatic Corps for their massive support on the election of Cameroonian-born Philemon Yang as President of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.


The second and last phase of the ceremony organised at the Banquet Hall opened the floor to National Dignitaries, including Members of Parliament, the judiciary, Members of Government, defence and security forces, political and religious authorities, businesspersons, trade union leaders, and staff of the Presidency of the Republic.
