Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Galatasaray football club, Victor Osimhen plans to take legal action against Turkish journalist Posta, Bozduman Tollga, after last week's argument, which led to allegations of physical assault.
KNews gathered that Bozduman claims he was taking pictures with another journalist when the 26-year-old became angry and beat him outside a nightclub.
"Once the flash came on, he started screaming and running towards me. He tried to take my camera."
"However, I held it. Then he hit my head. The right side of my head still hurts," Bozduman told reporters.
KNews further gathered that Osimhen is alleged of offering the journalist money to delete the photos. When his offer was rejected, he allegedly issued a threat.
"If these photos are released, I will destroy you," said Bozduman imitating Osimhen's words.
“I'm not new to this kind of thing. I know they will lie and lie and lie. This is a case of violence and he lied. But, of course, it won't be easy."
"I don't need to scream, but I will take the necessary steps to make sure. If I hit him, he will get justice. If he lies, then he will face legal punishment," Osimhen said again.
At press time, Galatasaray football club is yet to react to the allegations against their striker.
This incident, if confirmed, could have significant repercussions for the striker, both personally and professionally. More information is expected to surface as the story develops.
