Court verdict of the case between Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Galatasaray football club and Turkish journalist Tolga Bozduman is highly awaited in the days ahead.

According to report KNews learnt from Afri-Foot, the Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has filed in a legal action in Istanbul, Turkish against the Turkish journalist who accused him of assaulting him at an African restaurant two weeks ago.

This was disclosed in a post shared on X by Osimhen’s close friend and radio on-air personality, Onokala Onyebuchi known as ‘Buchi Laba’ this week.

“Victor Osimhen has officially sued the journalist that accused the Nigerian international of hitting him.” Buchi Laba tweeted.

This is coming after Bozduman accused the Nigeria international of assault following Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Dynamo Kyiv earlier this month.

Journalist Bozduman had claimed that Osimhen became aggressive and punched him while he was attempting to take photos of the Napoli loanee outside a venue.

KNews gathered from Posta online platform that it is alleged that Osimhen offered money to have footage of the altercation deleted but the journalist in question refused.

The 26-year-old striker has, however denied the allegations, labeling them as false. “If I hit him, he’s going to get justice, and if he lied, he’s going to get the wrath of the law.” Osimhen said.

At press time, Galatasaray football club is yet to react to the allegations against their striker.
