On April 13, 2026, MTN Cameroon hosted ART Director General, Professor Philemon Zoo Zame for strategic working visit aimed at strengthening regulator-operator collaboration amid rising digital demand.
According to Zoo Zame, the visit helps ART understand ground realities and ensure investments guarantee service quality. MTN CEO Wanda Matandela called it key for dialogue on priorities and challenges.
MTN presented its 2025 investment results in coverage, infrastructure, and service quality. Its 2026 plan targets wider coverage, stronger infrastructure resilience, better customer experience, and inclusive digital solutions.
ART confirmed MTN met its 2025 investment commitments but stressed that consumer satisfaction remains the goal.
Zoo Zame cited interconnection and energy cuts as ongoing issues despite MTN’s solar and battery deployments.
He urged operators to ensure investments improve daily user experience and called for joint work on transport, energy with Eneo and ARSEL, and coverage for the Pope’s upcoming visit.
