Alberto Ngalle Wins Easter Cup's Best Keeper Award

ANAFOOT Goalkeeper Alberto Toko Ngalle has been crowned the Golden Glove winner at the just ended 2025 edition of the Patricia Berthelot Easter Cup.

Alberto was one ANAFOOT shinning lights at the tournament making crucial saves to help the team reach the finals of the competition for the first time in their history.

Despite ANAFOOT losing to Cameroon's Elite de Football des Boissons (EFBC) in the finals on Saturday, Alberto inspired coach Nlend Ayme's side to the finals after producing 7 crucial saves against Best Stars Academy.

He only conceded three goals at the tournament, thereby solidifying his status as an integral part of the technical team set-up.

With many clubs now queuing for his services, the young Alberto has set out his goals and ambitions for this new chapter in his career.

'Obviously, I want to replicate the successes of my idol and compete at the highest level," he expressed with determination.

When asked which goalkeeper is his idol, Alberto proudly opted for Thibaut Courtois.

He further expressed gratitude to the management of ANAFOOT led by its General Manager Carl Enow Ngatchu and coach Nlend Ayme, for giving him the platform to showcase his rich and undoubted natural talent.

Coach Nlend felt Alberto was a worthy winner of the award." Alberto winning Golden Glove is so well deserved," said Nlend.

"He has been phenomenal, he kept us in games and gave us an extra boost," he stated.

Alberto became the first ANAFOOT goalkeeper to claim the accolade.The team's star striker Ngobara Victor clinched the Golden Boot while Mvondo Yannick Paul of Dauphine Academy walked away with the Best Player of competition.

The tournament organizers have unveiled the team of the 10th edition of the competition and ANAFOOT's goalkeeper, Alberto Ngalle, is the shot stopper selected between the sticks.
