The Deputy Secretary General of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, Angbwa Ossoemeyang Benoit on Monday, April 7, 2025 announced his resignation in a communique addressed to the president of FECAFOOT.
He cited unbearable working conditions and moral and psychological harassment by the current Secretary General.
In a letter addressed to the president of the Federation, Ossoemeyang explained that despite his commitment and attachment to the values of the Federation, the current professional environment no longer allows him to evolve in a setting conducive to growth and performance.
He cited contemptuous and devaluing remarks, excessive restrictions hindering the exercise of his functions, antipathy and verbal aggression, as well as systematic criticism aimed at denigration as examples of harassment.
Ossoemeyang expressed gratitude for the enriching professional experiences acquired within the Federation and thanked the president for the collaboration he received during his tenure.
He also requested to receive his work certificate in accordance with current regulations. This resignation comes at a time when FECAFOOT is facing several challenges, particularly regarding governance and transparency.
Ossoemeyang's resignation could have implications for the future of the Federation and for the relationships between different stakeholders in Cameroonian football.
