2025 presidential: MINCOM boss urges journalists to be professionals

The Minister of Communication, Rene Emmanuel Sadi has urged journalists in the country to remind professionals in the discharge of their functions before and after the October presidential election.
He made this clarion call on Friday, January 31, 2025 during a New Year wishes ceremony offered to him by his staff, collaborators, media bosses among others at MINCOM esplanade in Yaounde.
Minister, Rene Emmanuel however, expressed words of congratulations to Journalist serving in the Northwest and southwest Regions despite the ongoing socio-political and economic crisis plaguing the two English speaking Regions.
MINCOM boss congratulated the press men and women who have been working tirelessly in the NW and SW Regions. He acknowledged that despite the difficult situation they navigated through 2024.
With regards to the upcoming presidential election in October, this year, MINCOM boss divulged that the press are expected to assist Cameroonians in making informed choices.
Minister, Rene Emmanuel explained to media men and women that this year is a crucial year as presidential election scheduled for October.
He opined that the press is the key actor and will be expected to help Cameroonians to make informed choices and also to get the public realize that everyone have every reason to belong to the same country.
