Switzerland made a winning start to their World Cup campaign as Breel Embolo's second-half goal handed them a 1-0 win against Cameroon in the opening match in Group G.
Cameroon edged the first half, with Bryan Mbeumo and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting both going close, but Switzerland missed the best chance when Manuel Akanji headed wide from point-blank range.
That was a warning to the Indomitable Lions, but they couldn't stop Embolo scoring against his country of birth three minutes after the break.
He got on the end of Xherdan Shaqiri's cut-back to put Switzerland in front, and Murat Yakin's side saw the game out with relative ease.
