New Limbe I DO urged to combat ‘ghost town’, land grabbing, insecurity

The newly installed Divisional Officer, DO, for Limbe I Subdivision, Moni Innocent Nanje has been instructed to combat Monday ‘ghost towns’, land grabbing, insecurity, chieftaincy issues, urban disorder and keep the town clean as AFCON draws near.

The instructions were dished out by the Senior Divisional officer for Fako Division, Emmanuel Engamba Ledoux on Thursday, November 4, 2021 dur- ing the installation ceremony of new DO for Limbe I Subdivision.

Engamba urged the new DO to implement a positive synergy to foster development and overcome major pre- occupations of the administrative unit and seek solutions at local level even though the final solutions depend on hierarchy.

“I express the hope of the population which awaits you to quickly find in you a unifier, springboard for social cohesion and rapid solution for their daily preoccupations.


“You’re assuming your functions at a time when, the AFCON is at the corner, therefore, I enjoin you without delay to quickly take the temperature and the stakes, of what’s happening on the ground and mobilise your population to successfully welcome this important event in Limbe,” Engamba Emmanuel emphasised.


The new DO is a brilliant administrator, ready to put his dynamism, experience and managerial ability to the service of the population. The population of Limbe I subdivision are called upon to give their maximum support void of all forms of individualism which are necessary for him to succeed in getting solutions to their numerous preoccupations.

“With regards to your rich professional experience and background, I don’t need to go into such details, I am confident that you’ll quickly stay above the challenges that await you in this strategic and sensitive subdivision”.

The elites and the population are peace-loving, they support and collaborate withadministrative authority and be reassured that there’ll be no dust in the raining season and no mud in the dry season,” Engamba stipulated.


He assured him of his readiness and availability at all times to accompany him in the execution of heavy and demanding task in Limbe I subdivision.

To the former DO for Limbe I subdivision Acha

Gilbert Nkwenti who has been promoted to Secretary General at South West Governor’s Office, the SDO described him as a miracle son who before yesterday was the DO for Limbe III subdivision, yesterday DO for Limbe I and today number two of the South West Region.

Biography

Born in 1971 in Kotto Barombi Meme Division of the South West Region, Innocent Moni Nanje passed through a number of institutions of learning such as PHS Kumba, University of Buea before enrolling into the National School of Administration and Magistracy, ENAM.


Thereafter, he was transferred to the department of political affairs in the ministry of territorial administration in 2000. From May 2000- 2004, he was chief of administration and finance, South West provincial delegation of public works in Limbe.


From August to September 2009, first assistant SDO Bui Division. From September 2009-January 2011 he was First Assistant Senior Divisional Officer for Lebialem. From January 2011 to May 2017, he was DO for Wabane Subdivision. From May 2017 to October 2019, he wa DO of Pitoho Subdivision North Region from where he was appointed DO for Nkongsamba III Subdivision. Married and father of many children, he is well known for his availability and discretion, important tools for administration.


Speaking to the press shortly after his installation, the new DO, Innocent Moni Nanje said “my plan of action here, I will say it will be in three fold, service, loyalty and peace; service to the fatherland and to all the populations in Limbe, loyalty to my hierarchy and the republican institutions that find them.
