MINDCAF signs three years partnership with MEVCUDA

The Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, MINDCAF has signed a three years partnership with Meveo Cultural and Development Assembly, MEVCUDA.


According to the partnership deal, which was made public on Saturday November 27, 2021 by the version bearer of MEVCUDA, HRH Chief Ndiko Fonderson Henry during the closing ceremony of the eighth edition MEVCUDA 2021 which ran from November 16-27, 2021. MINDCAF will provide annual sponsorship amount to MEVCUDA.


“I received a correspondence from the representative of MINDCAF informing me that a three years cooperation agreement has been accorded between the Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure and MEVCUDA, to the tune of an important amount official sponsorship annually” HRH Chief Fonderson said.

MEVCUDA is an annual event organised by the Meveo Chiefdom with seven successful editions since the year 2014. It is a platform has as main objective to promote Peace and Sustainable Development, by assembling the grassroots and helping Civil Society Organizations, Government Institutions, Para-State corporations, as well as Entrepreneurs to display their opportunities, and reach out to potential beneficiaries, within the framework of their programs, projects and Corporate Social Responsibilities.


The MEVCUDA platform also promotes Tourism and offers opportunities for the grassroots to exchange their skills amongst themselves and to communicate their challenges to Civil Society Organisations, Government Agencies, Para-State Corporations as well as Entrepreneurs. These are achieved through Capacity Building Workshops, Cultural displays, Exhibition Fairs, Sporting Activities such as the MEVCUDA National Football Tournament which just ended.


On the sideline of the Anglophone crisis the Chief said; “I joined my voice with the government, international community, the clergy, civil society as well as silent voices to solicit for peace and reconciliation in the face of our adversity”.


”Allow me at this juncture to express our words or gratitude to His Excellency Minister Gabriel Mbariobe, The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development for unfailingly using our MEVCUDA platform to empower farmers in Fako Division through donation of farming inputs” HRH Chief Fonderson said.


He equally SONARA, CSPH, NASLA, SOWEDA, The University of Buea, Telcar Cocoa, BUNEC, SABC, UBA Bank, GIZ, PAD, CAPEF, MINADER, MINESEC, MINDEVEL, MINSEP, MINPMESSA, MINAC, MINEFOP, The Turkish and Nigerian Diplomatic representatives, The Bony DASHACO Foundation, The 100 Cities For Peace Foundation, Universal Investment Group among others for their contribution and support to the event.


The people of Meveo then took the cue and presented their rich cultural heritage through songs and dances. Popular Bakweri Motio and Male Dances kept spectators spellbound. Communities from other parts of Cameroon living in Fako Division powerfully graced the event with various dances.


The Cultural Festival in Meveo Village was equally an opportunity for farmers of that community to display their prowess in agricultural produce. Chief Ndiko Fonderson thanked SOWEDA and other agricultural giants for organising training seminars for farmers of his community.


On her part, the representative of the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Pauline Nalova Lyonga Egbe urged Chiefs and parents to preach peace to their children in the bushes.


“Let the fight be within, not in the bushes. People who want to come to us for development. You don’t need to carry the fight into Chief Dion Ngute’s village simply because we want to belittle him, No let’s take to dialogue, that’s what the Head of State has prescribed. Dialogue from within”,


“You’re losing, how many of your children are in medical schools, postal schools and economic schools in Yaounde, why are you not fighting that fight? Nalova questioned.
