The control commission team headed by Mr. Sob of NSM& Fils Sarl has emphasised to the contractor of the Man O’ War Bay-Bimbia road Zonta Solutions Sarl to respect the deadline of 10 months as stipulated on the contract.
He spoke to KNews during an exclusive interview at the project site at Chop Farms on Tuesday January 24, 2023.
Quizzed on the challenges faced in executing the road the workers on the site cited drainage, bad soil among others.
On his part, the Mayor for Limbe III Council Bimbia Barrister Nseke Dibotti Luma, said he is certain the former drama of unjustified suspensions of work is over. No more hide and seek game.
“In fact, it my sincere conviction that we shall not only witness the completion of the first phase, but that with the impetus of the Senior Divisional Officer we shall see the concept and realisation of the second phase of the road from Dikolo through to Tiko” Nseke Dibotti stated.
Sakwe Peter Nanje a local of Chop Farms Bimbia expressed joy of the changes of the road. He pleaded that such scenario of last year with the previous contractor should not repeat itself.
“I usually begged bike riders from Man O’ War Bay to Chop Farms for FCFA 1000 but they usually refused which is a distance of FCFA 500, now taxi accept FCFA 300 to Town.
Meanwhile madam Dorothy Luma of Chop Farms is convinced that the road will be well constructed with this new contractor Zonta Solutions Sarl from what he has done so far.
