Limbe City Mayor Paul Efome to grace Limbe Women’s leisure games

The Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale has made known his presence at the second edition of Limbe Women’s leisure games on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at aunt Christian Educational Foundation, ALCEF, Amusement Park Mile 4, Limbe to cheer up women from Limbe, Buea, Douala, Ebolowa and the USA Diaspora as they compete in Swimming, Tabala, Dodging and Seven-Seven games among others.


He made this revelation on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 during a courtesy visit by ALCEF management in his office at Limbe City Council Bota.


"What a wonderful Initiative! This concept is very much welcomed as it offers women of our municipality the best of traditional leisure and takes them down memory lane to their most cherished youthful games”,


“The Limbe Women's Leisure Games shall put in the spotlight the wellbeing of our lovely women, giving them unforgettable moments of fun, laughter, recreation and joy as we gladly celebrate them. May the knowledge of these games be transferred to other generations. I am a proud supporter of the Limbe Women's Leisure Games 2023." Paul Efome said in statement.

The organisers at ALCEF Park are overwhelmed with joy at the announcement by this precious Guest of Honour.


"Lord Mayor, Sir, we all at ALCEF Park, are more than honoured by your decision to grace the games with your presence, and we are sure that the thrill will be shared not just by everyone who will be at ALCEF Park on Saturday, March 4, 2023, but by the entire population of this vibrant city.


“You show the women for whose games you have agreed to be a valued spectator, respect and esteem, and they return that respect and esteem, ten times over! Bless you, Sir!" stated the management of ALCEF Park.


Organised under the auspices of the South West Regional Delegation for Women's Empowerment and the Family, the Limbe Women's Leisure Games will bring together over 80 women from across the country and abroad to compete in Swimming, Dodging, Tabala and Seven Seven for the following Cash Prizes, Medals, and Fascinators:


Prizes range from FCFA 50,000 + trophy and medal for first position in each game, FCFA 25,000 and medal for first runner-up and FCFA 15,000 and medal for second runner-up.


Meanwhile on March 4, 2023 for Limbe Women’s leisure games entry will be FCFA 500 for non participants and on March 8 there will be a live old timers’ band galore which entry will be free.


The promoter Ebob Evenye Mbiwan espouse Tanyi explained that registration for participants is ongoing at amusement park Mile 4, Women’s Empowerment Centres in Buea, Tiko and Limbe which is FCFA 3,000 for each game.
