JEN Foundation doles out scholarship to 50 schoolchildren in Limbe III

BY GILBERT NDIVE Limbe-based non-profit organisation known as J.E Nganje Foundation, dubbed JEN Foundation, has dole out scholarship to 50 schoolchildren in Limbe III Subdivision.

The colorful event which took place at Government Nursery School Man O’ War Bay on Friday December 10, 2021 was presided by the Divisional Officer for Limbe III Subdivision Epolewane Verklin.

According to the founder of JEN Foundation, Joseph Njanje, he decided to start with Limbe III Subdivision because it was where he started his professional life as a teacher. “I started my professional life as a teacher in this Subdivision, and after making it, in life I thought that, I should come and give back to my community” Nganje said.


He added that they selected 50 pupils, kids and students, who each received the sum of FCFA 10,000. In addition to that, in honour of former Mayor for Limbe III, late Dalle Inongo Isaac the foundation have taken the responsibility to assist his two children with 100,000frs.

JEN Foundation is an apolitical, charitable and and non-profit organisation. Nganje Foundation is focus on implementing schemes such as scholarship award, promotion of local initiatives that can generate wealth, donations to vulnerable groups.


The Founder announced that in the days ahead the foundation will build an IT center for this municipality, to train children to become IT experts.

“We will also have seminars for training on fishing and as days go by, this Foundation will be looking further to see how it can assist to provide those who are interested in doing fishing with fishing materials, that will be another way of empowering them after class six if they cannot further their education” Nganje explained.

On her part, Divisional for Limbe III Subdivision, Epolewane Verklin said; “Am very impressed, because is rare that we have people who travel out of the country and they decide to come back to give to their community without any ulterior motives” “Most at times we have this NGOs and Foundations who come, but most of them they usually have their ulterior motives, but you see a genuine man who has been struggling in this community and he knows all our challenges and he decided to come and give the little that he has to the community so that he can also contribute to the upliftmemt and development”. She however urged other elites of Bimbia in and out of the country to emulate his example to come back and develop the Subdivision.

Reacting to the press Chief Ekoka Molindo said, “As a university professor, I think the teachers are playing a wonderful role in bringing the children up, especially at this difficult time where even the lives of the teachers are at stake. So am so happy, I think is the best investment”,

“So I want to appreciate what he is doing and I think it has speared me and that is why I have also decided to make a gesture to the teachers, I think not in a distant future, some of us will be coming back to help the children.”
