CMA Buea Diocese gets new president, Vice- Told to be men of sacrifice

Ngah Eric is the new diocesan president for the diocese of Buea. He was voted into office on Tuesday, December 20 during an extraordinary election that took place at the All Saints Parish Mutengene.


Ngah Eric, from Mouange Parish Tiko Deanery of Humility had a total of 51 votes out of 67 votes cast.

Meanwhile, on the post of the Vice President Cletus Etam Ambe had 62 votes out of 67 cast. The electoral college had 71 on roll.


Speaking after the election, the National Chaplain of Catholic Men Association, CMA, Fr. Forbi Stephen Kizito from Yaounde sent to observe the election said he is extremely elated and happy because Buea Diocese has been without a president for almost a year now.


He instructed the newly elected president and his vice to be men of sacrifice to give up their time, be humble and read a lot about the association, so hat they can educate others.


“The sacrifice is not only in financial terms. It’s intellectual term, moral and social term. You know if you are in the lime light you have to be a role model, so they have the duty to educate their brothers. I’ll say God has endorsed this election.” Fr. Stephen explained.


Forbi Meanwhile, Fr. Jude Thaddeus Mbi, the Diocesan chaplain for CMA Buea and Vicar General said the election has been long awaited after the former diocesan president for Buea passed on last year September 2021 and the post of vice and president was vacant.

He was optimistic that the coming of the new diocesan president for Buea will enable CMA Buea to achieve its goals.


In his intervention, the Communication president for CMA Buea diocese, Wasso Norbert Binde expressed joy as the vacant post of Diocesan president has been filled.

He added that they are optimistic that the two will deliver the right goals to make CMA Buea diocese grow from glory to glory.


It should be noted that the post of Buea Diocesan president went vacant following the demise of Ngong Evaristus who died at his Botaland Limbe residence on September 4, 2021 while celebrating his 66th birthday organised by his children.


Speaking shortly after the election, Ngah Eric said since over a year they lost their president he has been acting as the president and a plan of action was put in place with his entire team. They have sure the plan of action is being followed step by step.


He promised to work as a servant of God. Together with his team they will continue render services to God through man.
