The Cameroon Association of Media professionals, CAMP has launched a project to get secondary school students involved in the desermination of peace language and actions in school milieux.
The project which was officially launced on Saturday, March 25, 2023 is aimed at preaching peace as a way of contributing towards seeking lasting solutions to the ongoing crisis rocking the two English speaking regions of Cameroon.
According to the CAMPERS, there has been a repeated atmosphere of violence in schools across the country which only goes a long way to propagate hate and tension among students, teachers, and members of the local communities.
Several schools have been earmarked to benefit from the project which will see students acquire skills in communication, journalism and public speaking with the idea to promote peace communication in school milieux.
Communication gagets are also distributed to the various students who shall form the journalism clubs of the selected schools.
