The Chief of Monde in the Buea Subdivision, HM Kwami Beckley Nangoh has announced the distribution of seed in the community in the coming days. The drive to boost agriculture in the village is an initiative of the traditional ruler of Monde.
He made the information known in an announcement on February 25. The seeds will be shared during a ceremony in Monde, at the Community Hall to begin by 10 am on March 7.
Chief Nangoh noted that the high-yielding seeds were intended to assist community members ahead of the farming season. This activity precedes the demarcation of plots and the creation of access roads fostering the rapid development of the area.
According to HRM Kwami Beckley the initiative, is organized by the Monde Palace, aims to freely distribute planting seeds to community members so that you may begin cultivation on your allocated plots, especially as we enter the planting season.
“My dear people, let us come together on this important day, for it is only through unity and collective effort that we can achieve sustainable development for Monde.” HRM Kwami Beckley said.
