A woman whose only name KNews got as Precilia has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a three-week old baby.
She is alleged of stealing the baby, disappeared and was found after over three weeks of thorough search by security forces.
According to reports latest news on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, reported that Precilia visited Catherine at her home in Bambili under the guise of checking on the baby.
Pricilla is reported to have vanished with the child, leaving Catherine in anguish. A desperate search began, with Catherine filing a formal complaint at the Central Police Station.
KNews gathered that security forces quickly launched an investigation, tracking Precilia to Bafut, where they eventually arrested her.
At press time, the alleged trafficker is at the police custody while the mother of the baby expressed joy to reunion with her baby. "I cannot describe the pain, I went through," Catherine said, holding her baby again 23 days after their forced separation. "I am just grateful to have my child back."
