The City Mayor of the Limbe City Council, Dr. Paul Efome Ngale Lisombe Mbole, has reiterated his vision to build a clean, healthy, resilient, attractive and economically vibrant city where waste will no longer be regarded as a burden, but as a resource.

He was speaking on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the Limbe City Council Conference Hall, Bota, on the occasion of the presentation by Eco Valor Group Inc. on integrated municipal solid waste management and transformative services for the City of Limbe.

In his opening statement, Dr Paul Efome said: "It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Limbe City Council and the entire population of our municipality, to welcome you to this important presentation by Eco Valor Group Inc. on integrated municipal solid waste management and transformative environmental services for the City of Limbe.

“Today's meeting is particularly significant because waste management has become one of the most pressing challenges confronting rapidly growing cities”, Dr. Paul Efome said.

Limbe, with its expanding population, increasing commercial activities, tourism potentials, industrial development and strategic geographical location, continues to generate increasing volumes and diverse categories of municipal solid waste.

Addressing this challenge requires us to move beyond conventional waste collection and disposal towards a modern, integrated and sustainable waste-management system."

The City Mayor stressed that the vision of the Limbe City Council is to build a clean, healthy, resilient, attractive and economically vibrant city in which municipal waste will not merely be regarded as a burden, but as a resource capable of generating economic and environmental value.

He noted that waste transformation can potentially create new economic opportunities through recycling, composting, material recovery, energy recovery etc where technical and economic systems are set in place.

“In this regards I wish to encourage all participants to examine the proposal constructively to our future partnership with Eco Valor Group Inc to be productive.

“I therefore invite the representative of Eco Valor Group Inc. to provide us with a comprehensive explanation of their proposed integrated municipal solid waste-management and transformative service solution," Dr. Paul Efome said.

On his part, the President/CEO of Eco Valor Group In, Manga Ekiti thanked City Mayor for accepting the project. He said the City of Limbe has identified some problems so they have come with solutions to help clean the environment and help them manage waste.

“We are help to help the city of Limbe turn their waste into valuable products. We have a lot of organic waste that’s around the city. We can use to get various type of products like manicure and fertilizer.” Manga Ekiti said.

He added that it is a win-win project for Limbe City Council and for his institution. The project is an economic generating activity for Limbe City Council and for Eco Valor Group In.
